Vernon PC Users Club

Computer in Coffee ShopThe Vernon Personal Computer User Club provides the residents of Vernon and area an opportunity to gain knowledge of computer hardware, software and systems. Through our monthly meetings we offer educational and training programs designed to put that knowledge to practical use.

We assist beginners in solving problems they encounter and offer basic instruction using their computer.

We have some Intermediate and Expert Users who come together and share their tech knowledge with members of the group. Our goal is to draw both people interested in learning basics and more and Computer Buffs who are willing to help teach Simple Fixes and How To's to other members.

Monthly meetings are held at 2:00 pm on the second Tuesday of the month (September – June) in the lower level at The People Place, 3402 - 27 Avenue, Vernon, BC. Guests are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.

In addition to monthly meetings, training sessions are held when the need arises on a variety of topics and levels. Topics depend on member interest and the availability of volunteer instructors.

Training sessions are currently free to members (you may become a member on the first day of class). To attend a training session, you must make a reservation in advance.

At some meetings, hands on troubleshooting can be offered for problems members are having with their computers, programs or Internet use.

Our presentations are on beginner-friendly topics regarding computers, the internet and technology. We welcome users of all skill levels to join us for our next presentation.

We belong to the Association of Personal Computer Users Group (APCUG) and, as a member, individuals can participate in their ongoing learning presentations on various topics of computing including Linux, Windows versions, photos and much more.

Come see what we’re up to!
